Take this away from me. Take it all. Poisoned and left for dead. No sympathy. My self worth, it crumbles apart and you stand there smiling. Embrace me with your malice, dear. Kicked down, it hurts. And we can't find a way to make it work. Release me, don't say the words you don't mean. Release me. The seasons change and so do your games. You come and go. Sensible, but not sensitive, you already know. But seeing you will tear me in two, a guarantee. I'm screaming to an empty room and I've never felt so free. Kicked down, it hurts. And we can't find a way to make it work. Release me, don't say the words you don't mean. Release me.

There are ghosts in the walls and the floorboards. Disappearing, then showing their wretched faces. So much left undone. Life is wasted on the living. It may be simple. The hardest thing for me is walking through walls and watching you sleeping. Do you hear that knocking? Must be something outside. Lights go out and you're shaking. Something inside you dies. Conjure the past, it consumes you. Pull the string, it comes untied. It may be simple. The hardest thing for me is walking through walls and watching you sleeping. Hear me calling? No, you can't hear me. Try to touch me. Your hands go right through me. See what happens when you try to miss me.

We can not stay here and listen to this. Too calm and fragile to make a sound. Piercing right through the barriers of sound. These people bring us down. Will you still keep my place in line and keep me warm at night? At my wits end. Choking back the words. So inadequate. The morning comes. It ruins our chances. Another sleepless night spent staring at the wall. As convincing as it may be it's still not working for me. Will you still keep my place in line and keep me warm at night? At my wits end. Choking back the words. So inadequate. It's our rule. We have to break it. It's my wound. I have to mend it. It's your time and you have to spend it. It's your wound. I have to mend it. It's my time and you have to spend it.

You wake up every night. Your bed soaked, you turn on the light. Life flashes right by your eyes. When all of your dreams have withered and died. Falling into the night. Thoughts of desperation. And we cling to what we have. These sad times in our short lives. And you breathe in again and your lungs fill with water just take two of these and you won't have to wonder whats waiting on the other side. Now we have to roam through these places we never called home and sift through the faces that never returned. You've done all you can, still you never have learned Falling into the night. Thoughts of desperation. And we cling to what we have. These sad times in our short lives. And you breathe in again and your lungs fill with water just take two of these and you won't have to wonder what's waiting on the other side.

Living and lying. We wonder if this will be it. Your hand is falling off the bed. Here it comes and there it goes. Windows open, hair is flying in the wind. It hits your face and settles back. You grace me with your presence dear. It comes and it goes. Can't share what you know. Spit it out, or be in doubt. Don't say I didn't warn you. I really am trying to get this message to you. Sending, receiving. Broken glass in the rearview. I'm sensible, but not sensitive. I'm past that now. Forgive me for using words I don't mean. It comes and it goes. Can't share what you know. Spit it out, or be in doubt. Don't say I didn't warn you. It comes, and it goes.
6.
I call you out by name. All of your intentions not forgiven. This place is like a hotel. I guess we'll settle in as they take you in. These Questions I ask myself, can this be the answer I've requested? So depleted. I can hardly speak a word. You reach out to me. You're waiting for someone to bring you home. We all need somebody to bring us home. Standing there I swear you looked in my direction. I feel connected. Your soul, it passes through me. I can not grasp it. It's at my fingertips. All the rage building up inside me as i question my existence. On this February night, I fall to pieces. Your pain releases. I watch you struggle, I watch you breathe. Every second is a lifetime. I'll stay right here until they make me leave. I'll be right here by your bedside. You're waiting for someone to bring you home. We all need somebody to bring us home.
